Residents Assistance Program
The goal of the Residents Assistance Program is to assist Butte County residents who are physically unable to clear their property and have no other person to assist in the clearance. The Butte County Fire Safe Council may provide defensible space clean-up for Butte County residents who:
- Are over 65 years old
- Financially unable to hire a contractor.
- Physically unable to create and maintain their defensible space on their own.
The Residents Assistance Program purpose is to create a defensible space clearance of fire danger from immediately around the home and roadways on the property by:
- Trimming trees and brush.
- Thinning trees as needed.
- Remove hazardous limbs.
- Conduct other hazardous fuel reduction as needed.
